Returning Cone

Returning Cone, 2008
Cast glass, hand cut, polished, matted
33 × 26 × 26 cm

The principle of this idea is based on the connection between two opposite-facing cones. One of them embodies a gradually-thinning mass, while the other represents a concentrated beam of light that pierces and lifts it. The object stands on only two points, which, thanks to the weight, look safe and stable, but at the same time allow gentle swaying.
