I work with cut, cold-bonded, and molten optical glass in series of monumental vertical and horizontal compositions. I use the precise geometry of cut shapes to create three-dimensional installations that draw on elementary symbols and carry subjective interpretations of events and relationships in nature, and among people. Symbol, light, and shape intertwine in my work as a unified expression, through which I open up meanings that culminate only in the viewer's own way of seeing things.

I assemble glass paintings as dynamic compositions with air voids, whose hidden depth and pulsating structures react to the movement of the viewer and changes of light. I am interested in humans, their mysterious reflection of the inner world, which I seek in the contrast of perfect lines and spontaneous energy. My paintings provide space for introspection, where we are not mere observers, but participants in the process of recalling our true selves.

To us, glass is a medium through which we work with light – the active agent that objectifies it, permeates it, brightens it, multiplies it, models it, reveals its subtle transformations and intensity, and allows for a new way of seeing things.

In its natural rhythm of the day, light enlivens the visual language of abstract geometry, plays out internal stories, and sets in motion the precision of lines and shapes. Through layering, it moves, melts away, and comes together again into new layers of meaning. We work with this changing presence, which captures something that is far from us, which transcends the sensory world, but that is at the same time close, as we ourselves are a part of it.
